Couldn’t put it down!

My favorite tropes of friends to lovers and sibling’s bff all jumbled together makes this reader very happy. Add in two very likeable characters with very little drama and I’ve got a book I can’t put down. Ruby and Jesse aren’t quite the opposites as the blurb might imply. While Jesse restores fast cars, actually all types of cars, he’s an artist as well, just like Ruby. He and Ruby are connected through his sister, Claire, who was Ruby’s best friend. What starts with a to-do list of new experiences left to Ruby by Claire turns into a discovery of feelings both Ruby and Jesse have long denied. While their close friendship turns smoking hot, they cross off things that help Ruby discover the life she’s been missing. Ruby and Jesse were extremely fun to read about and follow along in their journey. Their banter was fun and sexy, and I was totally invested in their happily ever after. A fan of both Lili Valente and Lauren Blakely’s work, this collaboration was just as awesome as I expected it to be. Can’t wait for the next one!

I absolutely adored this book! Lauren Blakely continues to wow and entertain me with her wonderful stories and characters! Add in the talented Lili Valente as her cowriter and you have a little slice of heaven right here! Not only can she write, but Lili Valente is also a wonderful narrator! Joined by the incredibly talented Joe Arden, they are so beyond amazing bringing Jesse and Ruby to life. Such a delicious feast for the ears!! I love these two characters and they are so good together and good for each other too. Their connection is special in that they have been friends for a long time on a different level because of Jesse's sister who was Ruby's best friend, who passed away. I love the whole concept of what she left behind for Ruby and how that shapes Jesse and Ruby's current relationship. OMG that first kiss was probably one of the hottest ever!! Swoon!!!! Their decision to try FWB of course is thwarted because it is so hard not to catch feelings when you are intimate together and spending so much time together but even more so if you were truly meant for each other. And you can clearly see that Jesse and Ruby are meant to be!! Loved it!! Can't wait to see what's next in this series!

Good With His Hands is a charming and sexy friends to lovers romance that not only made me smile but also touched my heart. I love, love, love Jesse and Ruby together. Their banter. Their connection. It was oh so perfect. These two are so close and genuinely care for one another. Because of the loss the both experienced, there is an understanding amongst them. When they cross the line between friends to lovers, oh man, it's crazy hot. The chemistry is insane. There is no denying they belong together. I will say, I did feel like the relationship progressed a little too quickly. They went from friends to friends with benefits to something stronger so fast that I didn't get enough of that build up tension. Although, I loved the relationship between Jesse and Ruby - and I really did because holy cow they're red hot together. - I felt like this book was more about Ruby's self rediscovery above anything else. After a car accident takes the life of her best friend and leaves her with serious injuries, Ruby is lost. She had lost the fire in her eyes. A to-do list left by her best friend that made her go outside her comfort zone was a way of getting that back. The strength it took to overcome not only grief but also injuries, my goodness. She needs to be applauded. This is the second book by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. I have to say, this pairing just works. I loved this book—this fun, infectious, flirty, and yet sexy romance. This best friend to lovers romance was a roller coaster of emotions while at the same time it will be unputdownable. As this story unfolded before me, I believed that Jesse and Ruby were always soulmates as I could feel the deep sense of connection that they shared not only through art, but through the mutual love of Jesse’s sister and Ruby’s best friend, Claire. All they needed was a little push to see beyond the fact that Jesse was Ruby’s best friend’s big brother, and Ruby was Jesse’s little sister’s bestie. It was truly entertaining to travel along with them on their adventures as Ruby began to discover herself, and as she and Jesse found a love together that they never expected to find. I can’t wait to see what comes next from these two amazingly talented ladies.

Jesse and Ruby have been friends for a long time, so there are already big feelings between them. But after they face tragedy together, their feelings shift into something way stronger. I loved watching those feeling grow as the characters themselves developed. And the end surprised me a bit because it didn’t go the way I had expected it to all along.

Fantastic!!

Good With His Hands is a fantastic best friend’s brother to lovers romance. This book was co-written by two amazing authors, Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. What I love is that it flows effortlessly and you can’t tell who wrote what. This book is full of emotions. I felt the pain that both Ruby and Jesse felt from losing someone so dear to them. Jesse, a sister, and Ruby, a best friend. In the years since Claire’s death, Jesse and Ruby have become close. Both having feelings but not acting on them, until in a way Claire brings them together with a “to do” list she put together for Ruby before she died. Jesse gave this list to Ruby right before he planned on leaving town. He wanted to complete it with her before he moves. In watching Ruby and Jesse come together completing this list, you will laugh, cry, have “that’s so sweet” and toe curling moments. In the midst of it all Jesse is keeping a secret that just might tear their more than friends relationship apart. These two are just so right together and I was in knots waiting to see how it all turned out.

I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but I think I’d only read a few of Lili Valente’s books (something I need to rectify soon!). The two of them together have written an amazing, hot, fun, swoon-worthy book. I’m in love with Ruby & Jesse and their story of falling in love after a tragic loss. From pies to cars, late night art, mushrooms, swimming & even glamping at The Four Seasons, these two are magic. Thank you, thank you for this partnership- can’t wait to read more stories from these two!

Oh my goodness! I felt such a connection with Jesse and Ruby. I laughed and cried. I felt Ruby’s sadness, loneliness, and feelings of being lost that Ruby felt after Claire died. I felt Jessie’s all consuming need to help Ruby find her peace and purpose. This was an epic love story not just between a man and a woman but the love of yourself. Well done ladies! A heartfelt connection

I have read the previous collaboration from these two authors-The V Card and I enjoyed it greatly. So it was great to hear that they would be working together again. Good With His Hands was an easy-to-read, heartfelt lovely story. I love a good best friend's sibling/sibling's best friend romance. This was also a friends-to-lovers. I liked the underlying friendship between Ruby and Jesse. They had a connection that ran deeper than Claire (Jesse's sister/Ruby's best friend). While the shared grief was one of the main factors it was not the strongest one. These two were just cute together. Whenever they were together, you can see how much these two truly cared for each other and how connected they are. They were a nice couple. I did like the message that was shown throughout the story-live life to the fullest. This book was so much more than about a budding relationship and I loved that there was more. Overall, this was a magnificent read. I am excited for Gigi's story next.

Ruby is a graphic artist doing that part-time, while also working in her family’s bakery knowing full-well that wasn’t her career goal. I admired how she took a chance and had the courage to believe in herself and her talents and venture out on her own as an artist. I know first-hand how scary that can be. I loved how Jesse encouraged her and was so complimentary. She always viewed him as the “IT” guy, the one every woman wanted, but he only had eyes for her, if only she could see it too. These two warmed my heart and had me routing for them the entire time. They grew closer as they worked through a list Claire left for Ruby of things she wanted her to accomplish, which tested their limits, made them question their relationship, and grow even closer. These two authors would never let their readers down, and I especially loved how everything came full-circle in the multiple epilogues.

Friends Fall In Love

Ruby was in a car accident and her best friend Claire did not survive. Ruby has become really close and good friends with Claire’s brother Jesse through their mutual grief. It’s been 2 years and Ruby has just finished her physical therapy from the accident and Jesse gives her a list his sister Claire made for Ruby to complete and offers to help her complete it. Jesse thinks that Ruby is finally ready to complete the list and start living her life again and figuring out her dreams. Jesse is moving to LA for his business to be more successful but, they couldn’t fight their feelings for each other and have taken their relationship to the next level. They are both determined to make their relationship work but, even with keeping in constant touch with text messages, FaceTime, and trips to see each other, it is still hard to be away from the one you love. Good With His Hands is a fantastic best friend’s brother to lovers romance. This book was co-written by two amazing authors, Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. What I love is that it flows effortlessly and you can’t tell who wrote what. This book is full of emotions. I felt the pain that both Ruby and Jesse felt from losing someone so dear to them. Jesse, a sister, and Ruby, a best friend. In the years since Claire’s death, Jesse and Ruby have become close. Both having feelings but not acting on them, until in a way Claire brings them together with a “to do” list she put together for Ruby before she died. Jesse gave this list to Ruby right before he planned on leaving town. He wanted to complete it with her before he moves. In watching Ruby and Jesse come together completing this list, you will laugh, cry, have “that’s so sweet” and toe curling moments. In the midst of it all Jesse is keeping a secret that just might tear their more than friends relationship apart. These two are just so right together and I was in knots waiting to see how it all turned out.

I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but I think I’d only read a few of Lili Valente’s books (something I need to rectify soon!). The two of them together have written an amazing, hot, fun, swoon-worthy book. I’m in love with Ruby & Jesse and their story of falling in love after a tragic loss. From pies to cars, late night art, mushrooms, swimming & even glamping at The Four Seasons, these two are magic. Thank you, thank you for this partnership- can’t wait to read more stories from these two!

Oh my goodness! I felt such a connection with Jesse and Ruby. I laughed and cried. I felt Ruby’s sadness, loneliness, and feelings of being lost that Ruby felt after Claire died. I felt Jessie’s all consuming need to help Ruby find her peace and purpose. This was an epic love story not just between a man and a woman but the love of yourself. Well done ladies! A heartfelt connection

I have read the previous collaboration from these two authors-The V Card and I enjoyed it greatly. So it was great to hear that they would be working together again. Good With His Hands was an easy-to-read, heartfelt lovely story. I love a good best friend's sibling/sibling's best friend romance. This was also a friends-to-lovers. I liked the underlying friendship between Ruby and Jesse. They had a connection that ran deeper than Claire (Jesse's sister/Ruby's best friend). While the shared grief was one of the main factors it was not the strongest one. These two were just cute together. Whenever they were together, you can see how much these two truly cared for each other and how connected they are. They were a nice couple. I did like the message that was shown throughout the story-live life to the fullest. This book was so much more than about a budding relationship and I loved that there was more. Overall, this was a magnificent read. I am excited for Gigi's story next.

Ruby is a graphic artist doing that part-time, while also working in her family’s bakery knowing full-well that wasn’t her career goal. I admired how she took a chance and had the courage to believe in herself and her talents and venture out on her own as an artist. I know first-hand how scary that can be. I loved how Jesse encouraged her and was so complimentary. She always viewed him as the “IT” guy, the one every woman wanted, but he only had eyes for her, if only she could see it too. These two warmed my heart and had me routing for them the entire time. They grew closer as they worked through a list Claire left for Ruby of things she wanted her to accomplish, which tested their limits, made them question their relationship, and grow even closer. These two authors would never let their readers down, and I especially loved how everything came full-circle in the multiple epilogues.

Jesse thinks that Ruby is finally ready to complete the list and start living her life again and figuring out her dreams. Jesse is moving to LA for his business to be more successful but, they couldn’t fight their feelings for each other and have taken their relationship to the next level. They are both determined to make their relationship work but, even with keeping in constant touch with text messages, FaceTime, and trips to see each other, it is still hard to be away from the one you love. Couldn’t put it down!

My favorite tropes of friends to lovers and sibling’s bff all jumbled together makes this reader very happy. Add in two very likeable characters with very little drama and I’ve got a book I can’t put down. Ruby and Jesse aren’t quite the opposites as the blurb might imply. While Jesse restores fast cars, actually all types of cars, he’s an artist as well, just like Ruby. He and Ruby are connected through his sister, Claire, who was Ruby’s best friend. What starts with a to-do list of new experiences left to Ruby by Claire turns into a discovery of feelings both Ruby and Jesse have long denied. While their close friendship turns smoking hot, they cross off things that help Ruby discover the life she’s been missing. Ruby and Jesse were extremely fun to read about and follow along in their journey. Their banter was fun and sexy, and I was totally invested in their happily ever after. A fan of both Lili Valente and Lauren Blakely’s work, this collaboration was just as awesome as I expected it to be. Can’t wait for the next one!

I absolutely adored this book! Lauren Blakely continues to wow and entertain me with her wonderful stories and characters! Add in the talented Lili Valente as her cowriter and you have a little slice of heaven right here! Not only can she write, but Lili Valente is also a wonderful narrator! Joined by the incredibly talented Joe Arden, they are so beyond amazing bringing Jesse and Ruby to life. Such a delicious feast for the ears!! I love these two characters and they are so good together and good for each other too. Their connection is special in that they have been friends for a long time on a different level because of Jesse's sister who was Ruby's best friend, who passed away. I love the whole concept of what she left behind for Ruby and how that shapes Jesse and Ruby's current relationship. OMG that first kiss was probably one of the hottest ever!! Swoon!!!! Their decision to try FWB of course is thwarted because it is so hard not to catch feelings when you are intimate together and spending so much time together but even more so if you were truly meant for each other. And you can clearly see that Jesse and Ruby are meant to be!! Loved it!! Can't wait to see what's next in this series!

Good With His Hands is a charming and sexy friends to lovers romance that not only made me smile but also touched my heart. I love, love, love Jesse and Ruby together. Their banter. Their connection. It was oh so perfect. These two are so close and genuinely care for one another. Because of the loss the both experienced, there is an understanding amongst them. When they cross the line between friends to lovers, oh man, it's crazy hot. The chemistry is insane. There is no denying they belong together. I will say, I did feel like the relationship progressed a little too quickly. They went from friends to friends with benefits to something stronger so fast that I didn't get enough of that build up tension. Although, I loved the relationship between Jesse and Ruby - and I really did because holy cow they're red hot together. - I felt like this book was more about Ruby's self rediscovery above anything else. After a car accident takes the life of her best friend and leaves her with serious injuries, Ruby is lost. She had lost the fire in her eyes. A to-do list left by her best friend that made her go outside her comfort zone was a way of getting that back. The strength it took to overcome not only grief but also injuries, my goodness. She needs to be applauded. This is the second book by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. I have to say, this pairing just works. At first, "The List" seemed like curse, but in reality it was Claire's gift to Jesse and Ruby's journey in discovering their life long love.

Good With His Hands is a charming and sexy friends to lovers romance that not only made me smile but also touched my heart. I love, love, love Jesse and Ruby together. Their banter. Their connection. It was oh so perfect. These two are so close and genuinely care for one another. Because of the loss the both experienced, there is an understanding amongst them. When they cross the line between friends to lovers, oh man, it's crazy hot. The chemistry is insane. There is no denying they belong together. I will say, I did feel like the relationship progressed a little too quickly. They went from friends to friends with benefits to something stronger so fast that I didn't get enough of that build up tension. Although, I loved the relationship between Jesse and Ruby - and I really did because holy cow they're red hot together. - I felt like this book was more about Ruby's self rediscovery above anything else. After a car accident takes the life of her best friend and leaves her with serious injuries, Ruby is lost. She had lost the fire in her eyes. A to-do list left by her best friend that made her go outside her comfort zone was a way of getting that back. The strength it took to overcome not only grief but also injuries, my goodness. She needs to be applauded. This is the second book by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. I have to say, this pairing just works. If you want a good, heartfelt and surprisingly emotional best friend's brother/friends to lovers romance with a fun adventure Good With His Hands is for you.

Loved it!

I loved this book—this fun, infectious, flirty, and yet sexy romance. This best friend to lovers romance was a roller coaster of emotions while at the same time it will be unputdownable. This book had so many fantastic lines and inner dialogue. Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente delivers a sweet and fun romance. It will have you laughing at times and it’s also heartwarming, but I was captivated from start to finish. The storyline is quite unique, and the characters portray combustible chemistry, together and individually, that makes them feel genuine, natural and heartfelt. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described charismatic characters that you will find yourself falling in love with. I was swooning over the eligible bachelor, Jesse Hendrix, who is so freaking SEXY! And funny in a cute way! And adorable in the hottest way! Jessie owns a garage to restore cars. Ruby Valentine and Jesse’s sister, Claire, are best friends. Since Jesse has known Ruby most of their lives, he considered Ruby off limits because she was his little sister’s best friend. After an accident occurred, Ruby felt lost, withdrawn, and broken. Before Jesse moves cross country to CA, he finds a list that his sister made for Ruby. As I anticipated, Good with His Hands is another triumphal collaboration between these two best-selling authors. Their writing is fantastic on their own, so you can only imagine what a remarkable tale they can create when writing together. As this story unfolded before me, I believed that Jesse and Ruby were always soulmates as I could feel the deep sense of connection that they shared not only through art, but through the mutual love of Jesse’s sister and Ruby’s best friend, Claire. All they needed was a little push to see beyond the fact that Jesse was Ruby’s best friend’s big brother, and Ruby was Jesse’s little sister’s bestie. It was truly entertaining to travel along with them on their adventures as Ruby began to discover herself, and as she and Jesse found a love together that they never expected to find. I can’t wait to see what comes next from these two amazingly talented ladies.

Sweet Romantic Fun

Lauren and Lili are a dynamic duo. This book had everything a romance lover could want: sweetness, steaminess, tension, friendship, true love, and all the feels. Jesse and Ruby have been friends for a long time, so there are already big feelings between them. But after they face tragedy together, their feelings shift into something way stronger. I loved watching those feeling grow as the characters themselves developed. And the end surprised me a bit because it didn’t go the way I had expected it to all along.

Good read! I enjoyed both Ruby and Jesse's characters and their unique relationship. The storyline was realistic and keep me interested. I'm excited for more of this series....I can't wait for Gigi's book!

Fantastic!!

Good With His Hands is a fantastic best friend’s brother to lovers romance. This book was co-written by two amazing authors, Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. What I love is that it flows effortlessly and you can’t tell who wrote what. This book is full of emotions. I felt the pain that both Ruby and Jesse felt from losing someone so dear to them. Jesse, a sister, and Ruby, a best friend. In the years since Claire’s death, Jesse and Ruby have become close. Both having feelings but not acting on them, until in a way Claire brings them together with a “to do” list she put together for Ruby before she died. Jesse gave this list to Ruby right before he planned on leaving town. He wanted to complete it with her before he moves. In watching Ruby and Jesse come together completing this list, you will laugh, cry, have “that’s so sweet” and toe curling moments. In the midst of it all Jesse is keeping a secret that just might tear their more than friends relationship apart. These two are just so right together and I was in knots waiting to see how it all turned out.

I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but I think I’d only read a few of Lili Valente’s books (something I need to rectify soon!). The two of them together have written an amazing, hot, fun, swoon-worthy book. I’m in love with Ruby & Jesse and their story of falling in love after a tragic loss. From pies to cars, late night art, mushrooms, swimming & even glamping at The Four Seasons, these two are magic. Thank you, thank you for this partnership- can’t wait to read more stories from these two!

Oh my goodness! I felt such a connection with Jesse and Ruby. I laughed and cried. I felt Ruby’s sadness, loneliness, and feelings of being lost that Ruby felt after Claire died. I felt Jessie’s all consuming need to help Ruby find her peace and purpose. This was an epic love story not just between a man and a woman but the love of yourself. Well done ladies! A heartfelt connection

I have read the previous collaboration from these two authors-The V Card and I enjoyed it greatly. So it was great to hear that they would be working together again. Good With His Hands was an easy-to-read, heartfelt lovely story. I love a good best friend's sibling/sibling's best friend romance. This was also a friends-to-lovers. I liked the underlying friendship between Ruby and Jesse. They had a connection that ran deeper than Claire (Jesse's sister/Ruby's best friend). While the shared grief was one of the main factors it was not the strongest one. These two were just cute together. Whenever they were together, you can see how much these two truly cared for each other and how connected they are. They were a nice couple. I did like the message that was shown throughout the story-live life to the fullest. This book was so much more than about a budding relationship and I loved that there was more. Overall, this was a magnificent read. I am excited for Gigi's story next.

In this first edition in the Good in Bed series, sparks fly and it’s not only because Jesse Hendrix is a mechanic, it’s because his heart skips a beat every time he sees Ruby Valentine, his younger sister’s best friend. Ruby has been crushing on him for years, but the dynamics of these two severely shifted one dreadful night when his sister Claire died, and Ruby sustained serious injuries in a car crash. After completing two years of physical therapy, she was finally in a good spot and her friendship with Jesse transformed. These two shared an emotional bond and it was really beautiful to read how they connected on such an intimate level, how much they had in common, and how much they needed each other. Ruby was not the same since the crash, feeling lost and broken, and struggled to find her spirit. But Jesse was there every step of the way; he possessed character and strength, was sensitive and protective, and her greatest supporter. Their physical desire was evident and they decided to throw caution to the wind and act on those feelings because Jesse sold his garage in NY and was moving to sunny California in a matter of weeks for a better business opportunity. They’d get it out of their systems and then move on...or can they? I adore both of these authors because there is always so my depth in their writing that includes a well established backstory, plenty of character growth, and sexual tension. Jesse is a successful businessman with a unique nitch or refurbishing cars and unique car parts with a flair for art. Ruby is a graphic artist doing that part-time, while also working in her family’s bakery knowing full-well that wasn’t her career goal. I admired how she took a chance and had the courage to believe in herself and her talents and venture out on her own as an artist. I know first-hand how scary that can be. I loved how Jesse encouraged her and was so complimentary. She always viewed him as the “IT” guy, the one every woman wanted, but he only had eyes for her, if only she could see it too. These two warmed my heart and had me routing for them the entire time. They grew closer as they worked through a list Claire left for Ruby of things she wanted her to accomplish, which tested their limits, made them question their relationship, and grow even closer. These two authors would never let their readers down, and I especially loved how everything came full-circle in the multiple epilogues.

Friends Fall In Love

Ruby was in a car accident and her best friend Claire did not survive. Ruby has become really close and good friends with Claire’s brother Jesse through their mutual grief. It’s been 2 years and Ruby has just finished her physical therapy from the accident and Jesse gives her a list his sister Claire made for Ruby to complete and offers to help her complete it. Jesse thinks that Ruby is finally ready to complete the list and start living her life again and figuring out her dreams. Jesse is moving to LA for his business to be more successful but, they couldn’t fight their feelings for each other and have taken their relationship to the next level. They are both determined to make their relationship work but, even with keeping in constant touch with text messages, FaceTime, and trips to see each other, it is still hard to be away from the one you love. Jesse makes an incredibly sweet and romantic decision to fix the missing each other and the distance between them. This was a great read! I received an ARC for this book and this is my review.
